The companion workbook to Pentacles, the first volume of the Arcana Library. Where the book establishes the theology of the earth suit — a study of what it takes for anything to last in material form — the workbook carries that theology into the reader's own life.

Across fourteen chapters, one for each card in the suit, Kristi Hall provides the structure for sustained contemplative engagement with the cycle of matter: Arrival, Custody, Exposure, Practice, Inheritance. Each chapter pairs five layered reflection prompts with passages of theological grounding drawn from the book. The prompts do not ask the reader to interpret the cards or generate insight on demand. They ask the reader to locate themselves in relation to what the suit describes — to notice where matter has arrived, where it is being held, where holding has failed, where practice is forming, and where something has begun to outlast its maker.

Ample writing space follows each prompt, and a separate Observations section supports sitting with each card image over time without arriving at interpretation — a slower practice the suit rewards.

This is not a journaling prompt book. It is a companion to a theological volume, and it assumes you are working through that volume or already have. If you've read Pentacles and want to put what it taught to work in your own life, this is the tool for that work.
